Do you use fabric clips? If not, what do you usually use? I wish I would have known about them when I did the quilt binding for my most recent quilt... instead of hurting my fingers trying to get the pins through all those layers of fabric!

LOL “ just burned myself. Maybe it’s the wine. Take another drink”. What a fun video. Life’s too short to be dull! And your hubby is a good sport as well!

My new favorite channel, and yes, you told me to get a glass of wine and I did. Not sewing just drinking and watching, lol. Have to do one of these tomorrow for a baby.

The sewing clips I knew about a few years ago since in cosplay they come in handy for a multitude of things. I am glad to see you doing some fun creative things for yourself!

That is the wine I’ve been getting! I love it! I had never heard of fabric clips, on my last project I used to safety pins which worked so much better than normal pins for thick layers. Good tutorial!

Oh my gosh, I love it too! My other go-to is Eola Hills Pinot Noir. I’m seriously loving these clips - I sewed something with jersey fabric the other day and it was SO much easier to keep the fabric from moving around.

my hand towel had an image on it that I wanted to use upright so I made the hood longer/taller rather than wider. It turned out fine. Just thought I'd share that the hood can be placed either direction.

Thanks for giving me a simple project to explore sewing with a new serger. I cut off one fancy edge of a beach towel to about the size of a hand towel, cut off the other fancy end (waste), then cut the remainder of the towel in half (hamburger style) for 2 hooded towels. The cut off hand towel sized end I used for the hoods. I serged all unfinished edges and then followed your directions. Super cute. I also made the burp cloths and a washcloth dog of my Mom's design. Do the plastic clips hold up? I was going to try binder clips (the ones for connecting papers). Thanks again!
