You can avoid the excess white strips around the pages by allowing a few mm of bleed around them, then trimming the booklet using a paper guillotine after stapling the pages. Also - always use uncompressed formats like PSD or TIFF (in CMYK).

In my opinion the number is a chapter which means a main division of a book, typically with a number or title while the song title is a song title more of chapter 1 leaning towards book 📕 📖 📚. For me as a listener studio album 💿 and book 📖 📕 are the same. Because both books and studio albums have a song title and a number right next to it which is book 📕 📖 📚 and chapter.

Album covers and liner notes are used, and sometimes additional information is provided, such as analysis of the recording, and lyrics or librettos. Historically, the term "album" was applied to a collection of various items housed in a book format.

That's amazing. That's just normal printer paper? Or is there other more durable paper I can do this on?
@ACrafterinTraining
4 жыл бұрын
I use a paper called bond paper; it's similar to printing paper, but it's a tad thicker, and therefor, resistant. You can get away with using printing paper, but the ink might bleed trough the other side. I'd recommend you to make a few test before printing. Hope it helps!

A Crafter in Training Thank you, it will very much. I’ll look into bond paper but do you know what kind of paper has that slick water resistant type coating and what it’s called. I assume I’d probably have to print at a shop with that type of paper rather than at home, but I’ll have to that anyway since I don’t have a printer. I’ll use bond paper for my demo, but when it comes to my album i still wanna DIY it for creative control but have it come out professional, durable, and in a hard case. What do you know about making hard case CD’s? (I want those because it’s less rough on the cd over time)

You might need to adjust your advance printer settings. Some printers do not print on both sides automatically. If so, try flipping the page manually and print on the other side.

SweetDevil675 it’s either your paper that’s too thin, or your printer is injecting a little bit too much ink. Try changing the setting of the paper before you print.

I believed I use the same paper as yours. Unfortunately, mine really dull in color and not as vibrant as if I use glossy photo paper. My printer is inkjet type, I wonder if yours is same as mine. May I know what medium type did you select for the medium type in your printer settings?
@ACrafterinTraining

I usually go to a printer center to get my files printed, I hate printers, so I get someone who can work them for me. However, I asked the person that works there and they let me know that the paper is called bond paper; it's similar to printing paper, but it's a tad thicker, and therefor, resistant. The printer is laser, that's why the color seems more vibrant, and the medium they select is photo paper on 90% vibrancy. Hope it helps.

Can this be done in Photoshop-like programs that aren't Photoshop itself? GIMP for example? Also this is the first of these kinds of videos that actually shows how to make CD booklets like *actual* professional (or close enough to it) CD booklets/inserts are instead of the usual "print picture on one side of a single piece of paper" I always run into. I'll keep this saved for when I have the materials to replace some missing booklets/inserts for a couple of CDs I own, thanks!

It might have to do with your printer settings. Some printers automatically adjust the image to size, which could cause the image to shrink. My advised is to not allow the printer to adjust to fit or select the option "print in real size"

I print on a local printer center, they have an epson printer. My local printer center is able to print in magazine-type-paper which makes it look really shiny, while also being thin and malleable. If you are unable to get that kind of paper, you can try printing it with laser printer as the ink makes regular paper look shiny.
