Great design....great execution.....great presentation. Really helps me justify a CNC plasma table. Having the freedom to get parts fast and iterate at low cost is gold. That was initially why I got into CNC machining - it was too expensive and very slow to prototype. Having all the tools in-house provides so many design options. Love it.

@@RathaSochenda What did you study if I may ask? I consider taking a course in welding or industrial product design. In what study can I learn to use CNC machines, autoCAD and welding at the same time?
@RathaSochenda
Жыл бұрын
My background is mechanical engineering. But honestly I learned most of what I know just from watching KZitem videos and actually trial and error. It really is a mindset thing. I found the way to learn all three stuff like cnc , design, fabrication is to have personal projects to work on. I’m not sure if that helps answer your question but I hope it points you in the right direction. Pretty much self-taught but it helps to have online mentors you look up to and can ask questions for help. It’s amazing how many people are willing to help if you ask.

@RathaSochenda
Жыл бұрын
I’ll show you in part 2 or 3 of the video series. But in short I’ll adjust the thread bolt and record that depth specific for the angle. I’ll have a chart that I will create that will show what depth I need for certain angles I have per thickness. Mainly for me is 45 deg and 90s. If it’s some odd angle I’ll use a digital angle finder and bump the pressbrake pedal until I reach it.

several years ago i made my press out of bridge banister-- 5in angle riveted together about12 in apart for the uprights and 12 in channel for the front and back of the table, and the top rails of the head,. I tried something different i made the hydraulic jack bracket (Head) so it slid along the top channels allowing me to press right next to the side(that had an opening between the angle iron legs) i was doing mostly farm parts straitening or pressing bearings out, the table was the only weak point as it is held by 2 3/4 in pins but they run through the front and back channels. never put enough pressure to bother them tho . like the repeatable of your design
