Another idea, if you can’t find the kit, eggshells painted in your colours of choice, break into pieces and mix with polymer clay. Roll out or mould into your shape of choice and add bits of eggshell to give you the effect and then seal. Actually, it works a treat. 😉

This looks super cool but tbh doesn't seem worth it to me... Those kits from Etsy were sooooo expensive and I honestly think your DIY terrazzo clay that you did previously looked just as good. I really appreciate you taking the time to test this but doesn't seem worth the cost.

You might want to try a dollar store spatula to help with removing clumps from your mixture. That is what we use in dentistry to mix impression material really fast and efficiently.

That looks really cool. I wonder if you could sprinkle some of the jesmonite directly onto the mould as well as mixing some into the solution. That might help more of the jesmonite to dry on the surface so you wouldn't need to do as much sanding😊

Yes, I mention at the end that this DIY is more pricey, but the kit will make you 2-3 trays. And it includes everything you need, especially since the mold and pigments will last you for several projects. I think it's worth it to make a custom piece and the quality is AMAZING!

It feels like a ceramic piece! It's unlike polymer clay which has that more plastic-y feel. I was very impressed with the quality, it has some weight to it!

@@amandageistbesser yeah you do. It’s an Italian word, and in Italian, double Zs have more of a T sound. You don’t pronounce “pizza” as “peeza.” “Teh-rah-zo” is more of an americanized pronunciation.
