Yeah, I’m a beginner and couldn’t find the how to DIY the bodice, sleeves, pants nor how to sew it to the inner part :(

This is amazing. My mom and I are binging on your stuff. My mom has been sewing for 45+years but she hates cutting pieces. I remember when she had her wedding dress shop she would sew but she had someone who came once a week to cut all pieces of the dresses for her

This fabric is amazing and you did an amazing job with this jumpsuit project. I do have to ask was that an authentic Japanese 100% silk kimono? If it was I would be pretty disappointed if a piece of art was refashioned into a this current fashion piece. I would love to know.

Thank you! I got this kimono at a vintage store a few years ago for either $20 or $25 so I don't think this is silk. But the reason I did decide to upcycle this piece was because there were several burn marks and stains in the fabric making it unwearable as a kimono. I also think this fabric and print is amazing, and that's why I decided to take something that someone else discarded and turn it into something I love and wear 😊

Wow. Thank you for sharing. I love it Is there a book that you would recommend for someone with no knowledge at all for sewing. I would like to be able create new cloth as you do. Any guide I will appreciate it. Thanks!!

Thank you! ♥️ The neck opening is big enough to fit over my hips (though a little shimmy is required, it is a rather snug fit 🤪)

This is nice, my grandmother was a kimono shop owner and there are many kimonos at my parents house (some are a bit stained), it would be nice if I can wear them making something like yours. (But unfortunately silks should be too delicate to wash frequently so making formal dress may work for me)
