Just a question but wouldn't u think the strips would look cleaner if the stripper u made didnt roll and draged instead.i just say this because the illusion is made by the blades being laid down

Hi mate could you give me all the products you used I have a little business I am only 12 and have 11 lawns at the moment just bought a Honda HRU 216 off a mate for $200 bucks works first pull it was a bargain but it would ad a little element to the customers lawn cheers mate love the video.

Jason Russo hey man, yeah I attached it to the flap, works well! You could put your own bolts on the mower deck easily though it the flap isn’t an option

Wanted to get into lawn striping. Was about to sell my rotary and get a reel mower specifically for this. Since I'm an amateur that's never maintained a lawn before, is this genuinely a good way to roll out stripes or should I go straight to a Scott Bonnar to save money in the long run?

+albahroe12 it's actually healthy for your lawn to recycle them back in! Helps to feed the soil organisms and recycles plant nutrients.

Mulching is best but you can’t let it get too long before you cut it or it can lead to thatch.

Yeah can’t let it get too long or it creates a mess. Thatch not so much. It’s a bit of a myth actually. I mean if you cut it so long every time and the clippings couldn’t be broken down by the microbes in the soil then yes it could technically create thatch

Just need to use it every time you mow so the edges don’t get too thick. First time I did it was a little bit of a struggle cause it pulled dirt out as well. But it’s good now 👍🏽

Regular construction twine/string will cut that pipe way faster than that saw.....

ron whites thanks mate! Couch is a bit harder to stripe. Better to use a cylinder mower to get those nice stripes on couch.

what keeps the center hole from warping from the rotation? I thought you would have to have something for the metal on plastic relief?
