Depends on a few things. Anything shot by Lars Anderson yes, he uses a 30lb bow. Anything above 45lb with a hunting tip probably not.

@@shawngriffith6901 wow a lars reference! He's amazing. The 30ib draw weight is just for his speed and barrage of arrows. Cant expect him to do that with a 50 pound bow. His skill more than makes up for that unless you have armor of course. But I'm sure he would carry a light bow for his frenzy shots and a heavy bow for when it's needed

So, for attaching this to the suit, I recommend a sturdy belt, maybe even something like a weightlifter's belt. This gives something to hang both the legs and front codpiece underlayer from. A pair of suspenders that attach at the points of the hip, in the same location as the cuisses, will help support the legs and keep the belt from digging into the hips and waist.

This is a great video and series. I've made the helmet, the cuirass, the spaulders, the tassets, and now these full legs. These were the more complicated ones so far and the sizing is a little larger, well taller, than the other pieces. I'm a pretty average sized person (5'9", 185lbs, 42" chest, 34" waist) though my thighs are a little thicker than average. I had to widen the cuirass a little, but these legs are too long for me at the standard size. I am fine with this because this full suit will be for display. I just want people to know that these legs seem to be sized for a somewhat taller and slender person. Last note is that I punched all the holes as labeled and found a few of them were extra on the knee and you wont' need to punch all the holes along the length of the legs where you have your opening, so plan your opening slit and punch accordingly. I had lots of fun making them and learned a few things about the best way to make them.

Good sir, is it possible to make the same armor you just made but in a different material and if so would that take more time then making it in leather
@wsoeltkakd

you could try thinner metal, but it will not be as flexible, and would be much more difficult.
@bjornsworkshop9288

The patterns are usable for pretty much any medium (leather, foam, metal, thermoplastics, heavy canvas, etc come to mind as viable options)... they may need to be adjusted a little based on the properties and thickness of the material used, but definitely doable! As far as time, that is mostly dependent on the skill of the crafter and how intricate you want to make things.

That is impressive....one day soon I will start my own stuff and use your patterns and links. My wife is so engrossed with The Last Kingdom on Netflicks that she might want me to make her something soon! An odd question....think that would stop a rattlesnake bite? Im thinking no but maybe if it was hardened somehow? I really have no clue....

Only one more peice to go. I'm so excited. I hope when this is all done you will sell the patterns as a bundle. That way some of us can save a little money especially since leather is so expensive. I envy people who can afford all this leather from Weaver. They are supper expensive compared to Tandy.
@shawngriffith6901

Yeah I wanted to shop weaver but the user interface isn't as good either. I'm not super familiar with the terminology and weaver has huge jumps in price that i don't understand until I Google everything. They also don't provide size charts like Tandy where it'll say "this cut tends to be within X sqft to Y sqft" Their site feels like it's a good place for people that already know what they want and are experienced leather workers as to where Tandy is more beginner friendly.
