*_Can anyone recommend a good acrylic finish for this?_* He used some acrylic silver or pewter for this at 23:43. But I think the Mandalorian in Episode 1 had more of a Chrome finish in his first helmet version. Any thoughts? This guy used Alclad II Chrome at 9:20: kzitem.info/news/bejne/rq97uahjiH6Ul6w .

Weaver customer support is excellent. When researching, then shopping for my first leather to make armor, I went to the warehouse in Berlin, Ohio. Kevin showed me around and then called Chuck Dorsett (who does the Weaver tutorials on KZitem) in Atlanta to get specific information for me. Chuck later answered emails from me with specific questions.

I know this is an older video but it looks amazing I'm praising you for not pushing the sponsor down our throats because I've noticed Weaver does not go for the hard sell, even on their channel they mention that the equipment and materials can be purchased from them but they don't go for the hard sell and I really appreciate that just about as much as I appreciate your skill and willingness to create these designs and share the building process. Thank you for the education and all the best from Scotland. I do hope you see this comment as it's genuine.

When he says quietly : " A few design considerations, the cheeks will make it difficult to put the helmet on or take it off. " He's not kidding. however, you can pop one of the cheeks inside out, and use that to open or close the helmet for use. it's a good build, but i would make the cheeks very shallow if you can, try not to make that indent so deep that it prevents use. very impractical.
