How are the Textar pads? Is the bite and stopping power the same as OEM Brembo pads? Curious as I also came across them on eBay. Thanks!

I bought them because they were significantly cheaper than Brembo OEM pads, even with the discounts I can get. Ive had the for months now and it still bites like OEM. I recommend them for daily and street use but maybe not track.

Nice video. How often do you have to change the rotors and pads? Also, whats the average cost for the rotor and pad parts? I've read it totals around $700.

Jonathan Wong you can look on eBay. Brembo rotors can go for $100 a piece and you can get textar pads for $150? I paid no more than $400 to redo all my brakes ( because I resurfaced my rear rotors to save money on new ones )

Ah, thanks! I was curious. I don't own an ISF but have read that the costs can skyrocket in maintenance for a performance sedan, like this car.

Was that middle 13mm bolt a one time use bolt? I've heard in previous tutorials that it is
@KantstandlamGarage

Canyadigget it's made out of aluminum but I don't see what other purpose it holds besides keeping the pads from popping out and being a reinforcement for the caliper. So I think it's ok to reuse it.

Never hit a rotor with a hammer of any kind. Just screw bolts into the 8mm holes and it will pop right off without risking denting the balls in the wheel bearings. This is in the factory service manual. The bearings are not replaceable by themselves, you will have to buy a whole new hub assembly, they are not inexpensive.

Yes I agree. Ive tried that off camera but was unable to break it loose, even with an air 3/8 impact gun. I resorted to carefully hammering it off.
