Thanks so much for the DIY inspiration! Along the same lines, your subscribers might like the many KZitem videos by legendary percussionist Emil Richards that are titled “Creative percussion instruments.” He demonstrates dozens of homemade and found instruments that he used in his decades providing sounds for movies and recordings. Fun stuff!

I know Emil, but I didn't know he has a series of videos like that. I'll check into it.

I've used trashcans and water jugs before too. Music can happen on anything.

You can tune the water bottle drone sound by filling it with water, or just about eliminate it by setting the bottle down.

That is great, Thank you! I noticed that about the bottle water a few weeks ago, and it`s really amazing as well how the sound changes with less/more water or with the lid on/off...

Yes - Good point. You can fill a glass or bottle and the pitch will change.

I found a metal straw in one of my kitchen drawers and I'm loving the sounds I can make with it. It even has a nice ridge/stopper on it which opens up even more possibilities. My favorite combo so far has been metal straw + small mason jar. Doing a small roll on top of the lid with the ridge of the straw is just pure joy.

What do you use as a trap table i like the groves and how having the wrenches on it they were still playable. I have my claves and guiroes on a table I've essentially folded a towel on and topped with a felt scarf but that looks way better
