This is so beautiful! I too only buy my cord from Ganxxet because of how nice it brushes/combs out. I've had so many compliments on the softness of their product! Your wall hanging is absolutely gorgeous! This was very nice of you to do this tutorial!

Thank you! As for hanging it, I always just put a singly long nail in the wall and then place the center of the dowel on it. Kind makes it look like it’s floating:)

Ok so that is 1mm more than I used.... I don’t have a magic formula unfortunately, especially since cord size from each company varies SO MUCH!!!! If I were you I would cut and extra foot (at least on the parts where there are the most knots!) again, I don’t want to give you the wrong advice, I’d definitely a decent amount to be sure, but I would have to see your cord and compare it to my 5mm, which is definitely a THICK 5mm!

This will be my first large project, I've done many of your other tutorials - which I love. I have my ganxxet rope on the way. May I ask what scissors you use - I have sharp fabric scissors, but I can never get my fringe straight.

I just use fabric scissors as well! It just take a lot of patience and it’s a lot of work to be honest.... comb, trim, comb, trim!

As for scissors , I’ve seen people post about some super fancy ones, they’re expensive, very expensive, (I’m sorry I can’t remember the name or who’s profile I saw them on!😞) It May have been on Nova Mecury’s Instagram that they were mentioned, I’m not positive though. As for me, I got mine at Walmart, they’re Titanium fabric scissors, they work just fine for me, and I think they were about $12-$14 CAD!

I really love this design idea. I did something very similar as I was inspired by your video. I had trouble keeping the two rows of double half hitch knots close together ie. on top of each other. Yours are beautiful. Any advice? Thanks so much. Love it.

First off, thank you!🙏🏼 Now, as for keeping them close I did explain that in the video as I was going through it, BUT I do have a video on the double hitch knot and I’ve included allll of my secrets, tips and tricks there too. It’s too much to type here and much better explained with the visual in the tutorial. Hope this helps.

You can most definitely make it with 4mm, it will be a decent amount smaller though and not as chunky for sure! I can’t say exactly how much because I have never made with 4mm so I don’t want to give you the wrong information! I have another wallhanging tutorial that I made with blush 4.5 mm braided cord, it’s got diamond shapes and VERY easy, only square knots. This one might be tricky with the wavy double hitch knots! Let me know if you need help, I try my best to come on once a day and help:)

I have never used it as one but I think if you used a thinner, cord, make it a bit shorter, I think perhaps it would work beautifully! But please remember, I have not done it, this is just my guess!♥️♥️

Some cords just do not fringe nicely no matter what! I use a pet brush, do it once, let it breathe for a day helps, and then I do it again making sure to go from both sides(front and back).

I was filming so it took about 5 times longer than if I were just knotting without worrying about filming and teaching. Also I knot very fast so I can’t say how long this would take most people...

I find the centre and just place it on a longer mail. That gives the floating effect. I’m not a fan of the cords to hang them !

You could probably do a smaller version of it but I don’t recommend this size. It won’t hold or look the same at all!😣
