This past week I linked up with some friends to build this awesome DIY pond down in Florida! It was a lot of fun and I think the results are incredible. Although we worked together, I think this could easily be done as a solo operation or with a different group of people. I want to know what you think, though. Let me know in the comments!

Sounds like someone got their groove back ;) What a great build; this project in particular really feels like one of your miniature manufactured landscape terrarium builds scaled up to the human aspect ratio, or I suppose in this case turtle aspect ratio. The channel has come a long way, I would include SerpaDesign on a list of replacements to broadcast programs on networks such as HGTV. I'm so glad you are able to showcase this talent you have been developing throughout your life, and that you genuinely want to share not just the content of your creations, but the knowledge and experience you have devoted so much of your time and self in pursuit of. Para-socialism goes both ways; I enjoy your channel because of what you choose to present, and 'chat' can be a hive-mind of self-absorbed individual demands, finding and maintaining a healthy balance is incredibly difficult, I think you're handling it well but hey, don't forget to breathe sometimes. Take care and peace Serpa-Dude.

TANNER. NO WAY. I actually am in the process of building a pond for my painted turtles out of two stock tanks! One is buried and the other small one will be above with a spillway!! Im so excited to watch this because I've been on my own for the whole process so far. This will be a great way to get ideas and some instruction for my project! My bigger pond is already buried, and im getting the pump set up for the spillway one right now.. just not sure how to make sure it spill correctly yet. Ive never found a video so unexpectedly relevant haha, thanks for making this!!

@enlilist

@SerpaDesign I would love to see a whole video expanding on this question. I could not see or understand: how the cleanout works; what goes in the inverted bucket; what is the purpose of making a large loop/ void space with the corrugated hose; what is the path the pressurized water return takes from the lower pond into the upper bog; i can see the sink of the bog, it's the spillway, but where is the source located?

I am getting ready to build a indoor massive enclosure for my dwarf caiman. Thinking about doing a big filter for his pond but not sure if I'll go this route or just use a canister filter. Keep changing it around but for sure a 2' waterfall is part of the design. About 15 years ago for my chameleon I build a 2'x2'x4' cage with a 2'x4' complete waterfall on the one side what I had Halloween crabs in the bottom that played in the sandbox and reservoir.
