In this video I'll show you how you can make a Niteangel tunnel out of cardboard. This DIY is pretty easy so both adults and children can make it. I tried to make the tutorial instructions as clear as I could but if you have any questions or suggestions you can ask me in the comments. 😊🐹

First, you need some cardboard. Make sure there is no color or tape on it. We will use this to make the side pieces. Draw the shape of the tunnel on the cardboard. You can make the tunnel bigger or smaller but make sure it is at least 10 centimeters wide for a syrian and 5 centimeters for a dwarf. Use a box opener or scissors to cut out the shape. Use one piece to trace the other so they will be identical. After cutting both out choose the better one for the front side. Next you need to cut out the holes on the front piece. You can paint it if you wish but make sure you use non-toxic water-soluble paint. I used white paint and added brown food coloring to get a lighter brown shade. I like to use a sponge because i can dab the paint, which makes it look more even and gives a bit of texture. You will still need a few layers. Leave the paint to dry thoroughly. For the next part you need toilet paper tubes. I have really narrow ones but if you don't have this you can cut the bigger ones in half and make two smaller tubes. Start gluing the tubes onto the front part of the tunnel. Make sure to glue the tubes only on the angled part and the top, not the bottom and the front.
You can add additional glue to the base to make everything stick together better. It is important that all the tubes are approximately the same length. Let everything dry thoroughly After it dries put glue on all of the tubes.
Place the back piece on top of them. Make sure you position it correctly. Cardboard tends to bend when painted. So it might not be straight. Press down on the tunnel gently and hold for a minute or two.
Put some heavy books on top to hold everything in place and let it dry.
It's a good idea to add more glue to strengthen it. Now the tunnel is finished and we can put it in the cage. My hamster Nosey is in charge of quality control.
Nosy spent a long time in there just snacking and relaxing so he seems to like it, which makes me very happy. Here you saw just a tiny bit of Nosey's new cage. Now it's double the size and I will be posting the setup process in my next video. Please come and watch.
