Hello, I love your channel, even if I don't intend to hit the road (we just bought land to grow our own food and live more sustainebly). If ever you have a way to contact Darla, please send her this message : Hello, Darla ! Your bus was built in Quebec province in Canada, in my childhood hometown, Drummondville. The name of the company : Girardin, is simply a French family name, so you have to try to pronounce it with a French accent. To give you an approximation : it would be like this : Gi is somewhat like the way you pronounce the letter "G" in English, but without the "d" sound of the beginning. "ra" resembles the English word "raw", followed by the sound "r". "din" is more tricky, but you could pronounce the English word "den". So, it's a good approximation to say : Gee - raw - r - den. I was really interested to hear your story and see what you did with your van. I wish you a good life, lots of new friends and adventures.

If you are an Auto Club member they may be able to help with what the requirements are to register as an RV. I know you have to remove anything that makes that look like a bus. I believe you have to have onboard water, bed, cooking, and toilet. After that you're on your own. My 24ft shuttle bus came partially converted (had to rip everything out since because they did a lousy job) but it was registered and tagged in CA as an RV and had been insured with Auto Club as such so I was able to just pick up insurance with them...for 50 per month as it's not going very many miles per year YET. Good luck Darla!

Love this, I wish I could do this exact same thing but I will wait until my youngest whos a teenager is grown MY oldest is in the army so just one more to go! I would love if he would want to do this with me but his friends and school are the most important to him which is understandable. One day though I definately want to become a nomad and travel and be able to fix up something that will give me the room I need and be able to decorate and make it homey.....cant wait! I must say this channel is my fave when it comes to showing how people are living on the road. Theres also some documentaries about homeless and I can definately see some homeless doing this but still would need that extra help because many dont have vehicles.....I just really wish there were no homeless especially seeing veterans who have served this country, seeing them homeless breaks my heart. But if you have some source of income and a vehicle there is always hope to move up and onward. Even if you dont have those things you can work towards these goals. Kudos to everyone who is living their life the way they want and to the fullest!
