These are just time consuming projects. Stuff I need, too cheap to buy. Why not make a video while making parts. Somebody will watch this and decide to buy a lathe.

Thank you, I can only hope to inspire others to take on a build of their own.

Good. My nuts require cleaning the threads with a tap. It looks like the notches are compressing the nut.

I'm not metallurgical expert, but I was thinking it would compress the material into the threads, but the result would be making the nut loose fitting. By smashing it, I thought it would essentially stretch it. I didn't really notice a difference in fit before and after knurling. Maybe a slightly looser fit, but barely a difference.

Too many DIY threaded barrels. One project creates another.

How have you made the breech face for the 3d printed gb22 please ?

You can see them in this video. They are very simple. You can machine, cut or grind away the face until the firing pin shape protrudes. kzitem.infog-NaOQ5LVyk?feature=share

@jimafcarbon4433 Thanks Jim :) I've turned down a screw which I'll then loctite a hardened pin into it. Making it blank firing for legal reasons. I think I was born on the wrong side of the pond despite my grandad being from Houston TX.

@MattTankMan that would work too. I put a pin in one, but it's just as easy to machine one in the mill. I donfeel for those in less fortunate countries.

My parents should have named me Al. I'm ethnically challenged, therefore I have no rhythm.
