Here’s how I created my gear wall with out cutting, drilling or nailing ANYTHING.. because I’m no carpenter. Make sure to subscribe for more things outdoors!
1. I used these 8-foot pole-mounting shelves. That snap into place, have an 800 lb shelf capacity and adjust fairly easily to whatever size you need.
You can find them here ➡️ amzn.to/4esSIiG
2. I bought three units and used two shelves from the center unit to connect the shelves & create a couple of spaces to hang gear. Backpacks, drysuits and dry bags hang for easy access & to dry out 🎒
3. I used plastic totes to organize my gear. Clear ones for visibility, solid ones for sturdiness.
• camp kitchen
• camp pantry
• fuel and small stoves
• backpacking food
• camping and backpacking tents
• sleep pads & hammocks
• a shower system with my outdoor shower from @thebeachboxco , a pop up privacy tent, and body wipes. ⛺️
4. On the top, I store sleeping bags in mesh bags to keep them fluffy. (Don’t store your sleeping bags in compression sacks!!) And on the ground spaces I keep camp tables/ chairs, coolers and floaty toys. 👌
This system has really made it easy and convenient for me to pack and unpack for whatever trips I’m going on. ESPECIALLY the unpacking/ putting things away part.
An organized outdoor gear wall makes me feel like I have my life together 🤣😅
