You did a very good job on this it turned out really well and it will be there for years to come. Good choice with sandstone can't beat it imo 👌

About to make a similar attempt. Any chance you could add quantities in the comments? Amount of type 1, sand, cement etc.. Area covered. Getting confused by suppliers estimates.

Hi, can you tell me if the smooth polished indian sandstone is more labour intensive than the rough riven type? Someone said the back on the polished ones has to be coated due to being porous? I thought the back would be the same. Thanks

great stuff. I see you got channel drain next to building. Is the incline of the patio is towards to the building or away from building?

Hello mate nice vid, same as others below, I'm about to start on a very similar project with no prior experience. I've got a question about the damp course. How much lower than the damp course did you dig out and now the slabs are laid are they still below the damp course and by how much?

Hi, about to do this myself, no prior experience in paving or landscaping! Is the membrane you used essential to use? Any tips you could give? Thanks.
@Palo-jm7xc
3 жыл бұрын
Yes the Geotextile membrane is important as it forms a separation layer between the type 1 and the soil whilst still allowing percolation of water. Without this over the years the soil and type 1 will begin to mix and may cause settling issues as the soil pumps.

Hey Aaron, if you haven't started yet and want some advice then send me a DM. The membrane is an important layer as Palo below said.
