Thank you for sharing this idea! I love the open concept of being able to put multiple sizes on the shelf, rather than being confined to 1-2" slots. Nice, clear, closeup shots in the video were very helpful as well. It would have been nice to have seen the actual build, but thank you for showing the end result anyway. It's simple enough to visualize. -- Good luck in your future posts. You've got a new follower here!

Glad you enjoyed it. I wish I had videoed the building process, but this one was hard because it came together over a long period of time. But if we ever redo them properly, I'll try to be sure and video it! :)

Hi Absolutely great design! I am inspired...what are the height of your dowels and how far are the spaced out? Also how much is the space around the space to the outside , between the two timbers?

I include all the details in the link I shared in the video description. This shelf is 36 inches wide by 35 inches tall.

I can't find the actual depth of the plate section...as in its height and width..it looks as if the plates hang out, but that could be the camera

@@JulieJolly-dk2dt the shelf is 8.5 inches wide with the face board and 12 3/4 inches high. Yes, the rounded edge of the plates extend past it, so they're easy to grab from the slots.
