this is honestly super helpful. i plan to do a bigger build for my beardie once i have a bigger place and honestly i was not looking forward to working with glass, this provides such a good alternative as well as my main complaint with my tank is the ventilation.

Pine is not toxic when it's been dried, however you have to be careful what boards you buy because as I understand it, construction lumber is not kiln dried. Cedar, however, IS toxic and should be avoided at all cost. There's a reason it repels insects. Lovely enclosure btw!

Hi was wondering if you can make a bearded dragon enclosure out of shelf boards the kind with the Formica like material around kind of like a pressed board
@swiggydiggy
Жыл бұрын
you mean melamine. and yes, quite a few people do, but it's heavy as balls compared to regular plywood or OSB (almost twice as heavy in some cases) so moving it around, both as you build AND just moving the finished enclosure to where you want it, is gonna be a bit harder.

You can pretty much make an enclosure out of anything so long. Is it safe for the pet

Very good attention to detail. I’m going to try this but looks like I need way more tools which makes this a really expensive DIY. But looks amazing
