Looks cool. A couple things, I made a sanding block out of the foam flip flops. It's a little denser / harder. It would probably make a great alternative material. Another thing I did is I took a 4" x 4" electrical junction box, got a motor dimmer dial switch ( motor dimmers are different from a light switch dimmer) , a recepticle that your grinder can plug into, and extension cord turned into a long pigtail. Get the proper cover plate that has a duplex plug and a separate single pole light switch hole. I've made a bunch in the past. It allows you to dim the power slowing the grinder. Those angle grinders all spin at enormous speeds. I have used this with no issues. A little time back I saw in a woodworking store pretty much the same thing that you can use on routers. Just thought I'd share.

√ Excellent attachment √ I also use the same and similar glues, uhu, neostick etc., Flexible glues and what i've found that when you wait 10min after applying it put a little bit more fresh glue on one side and this makes even more strong bond. Been using it for all kinds of things, for flat bicycles inner tubes even for flat car's inner tubes back in the day. Keep up the good work.

Very useful little sander, especially if you have a variable speed grinder. M14 taps are available quite cheaply from China and could be use to make this. I bought one so I could fit a drill chuck to my grinder.

Great idea! I made a “finger file” (using square tubing, a couple bearings and a spring) drive wheel using this same method. I was afraid the wood glue would let go over time so I used epoxy instead. I’m glad you made the comment of hoping the epoxy didn’t stick the wheel to the grinder threads because it made me laugh. Yes, that happened to me🤪 it was easy enough to untwist after a little elbow grease but when I make a couple of these sanding bases I will know better this time. Thanks for sharing brother, good stuff right here... 👍🏼👍🏼 from this guy😉

I've seen a simple modification to a 3 jaw metalwork lathe to hold skinny components such as washers. Some will feel that this is a slight downgrade of the chuck. But with good quality chucks you can by extra jaws if required. If you have a fairy solid metalwork lathe. It might be better to make this object out of solid Aluminium bar or possibly even Nylon because either can be drilled and tapped M14.

Those angle grinders can run at 9000 rpm or even more. Is this safe? Also the center of the forces on the grinder are totally off center. It might wear out. Best to use a normal drilling machine for this with an adapter. Search for 'drill sander attachment'. Cost only 4 usd.

I had a lot of old pipes and rebar to cut up and from what I read kzitem.infoUgkxPDBfLu68o58Aw85O_J-zIFfjJARBhp-3 this would be the tool for the job. Since I had never used one, I watched a couple of youtube videos and I'm so glad I did. Some really good safety tips, which I followed, and this tool did a splendid job. One good thing to know is the weight of the tool puts just about the right amount of pressure on the metal I was cutting, so I didn't have to use a lot of pressure, which is more likely to jam the tool. It made fast work of my job
