This is a very durable and simple binding. When I had acquired a rare book or Ms, I would carefully scan them, and burn them onto a DVD-Rom. Then, using an inkjet printer, I would make a copy, single or double sided, onto decent quality cotton bond. These I typically stab-sewed, as You have demonstrated, and then gave the block a sturdy "library case". The originals would get archived, and the copies were available for study. I would also glue up the leaves at the spine to prevent any shifting.

While I use a dremmel for super thick stacks, I’ve had luck using a pointed Phillips screwdriver in a pinch. As long as it has a reasonably sharp point you can use it as a pseudo-drill on paper and cardboard (and it’s much easier on the wrist than an awl if you have a lot of sheets to pierce).

I'm going to use this for a class where we'll add pages as we go. I plan to make a bow instead of a double knot until the end. This way I can untie it when we have new pages and add them in. At the end I'll add the cover.

Informative, though I really wish this guy would speak and give a little more insight then the little bit of text on the screen. Like what kind of paper should you use. How long should you wait until the glue dries, stuff like that.

Жыл бұрын
Hello ! In the video description you have a list of supplies that you can use as a guide. In any case, you can use any paper and cardboard for the covers. As for the glue, I cannot say how long it takes to dry since that depends on the glue you use and where you live, for example, there are glues that have more water and if you live in a humid place, logically it will take longer to dry. dry than if you use an adhesive with little water and live in a dry place...Therefore, it is best that you see on your own when it is dry Supplies and links 👇👇👇 Hobby Drill amzn.to/3EI6QEM Awl amzn.to/3JSLRBL Waxed Thread amzn.to/3Jz4slj Curved Sewing Needles amzn.to/3EcfJoO Book Binding Stainless Steel Needles amzn.to/3FBVXET Binder clips amzn.to/3V1T5a5 Colored Cardstock 180 gsm A4 (Check the measurements ) amzn.to/40oiKfl Cutting ruler amzn.to/3ySvdME Cutter amzn.to/3FCPYzy Bookbinding kit amzn.to/3OeLjXA
