Propeller damage happens. Fortunately this time it was relatively minor. I do have a spare prop, but it's a higher pitch, and I was taking a full boat out the next day, so I figured a quick DIY fix was in order. All turned out well, and it ran flawlessly all day.
I will be posting a video soon where I go into a little more depth regarding propeller damage and some hub designs.
Also, while it may seem obvious to bang out a bent blade, propeller repair is complicated with lots of variables, so it is always best to take it to a shop. That said, I'm quite happy with how this turned out, and would be comfortable taking it out a few more times before bringing it in for a full rework.
