Thanks man! It’s definitely coming together nicely. With the exhaust painted, new red wrinkle coated intake manifold, and these BLINGED out valve covers, this engine is going to look amazing - especially with all new hardware and accessory hoses. I just love to have an engine that blows people away when you pop the hood, and it doesn’t have to be high dollar! Super clean OEM everything is legit too IMHO.

You need to rinse the part between grits and change the water. The huge jump between 800 and 1500 leaves a lot of scratches. Don’t make such huge jumps in grit.

The best clear coat that you can get is the "OH MY" 2k clear from BuyCustomPaint.com. A HS clear that's really easy to spray with a high gloss, and doesnt require cutting or buffing and the small kits start at $30..... Definitely worth checking out...good video

Hey dude I've finally got my old 02 Forester's EJ25 on an engine stand. Gong to rebuild it over the next year or two (don't have much money -, takes time to save up for quality parts lol). If by amazing chance you would like to grow a playlist on rebuilding the EJ25 over time that would be amazing hahaha! Seriously though I just appreciate all the content you provide. It's all interesting and useful.

@cv 67 Sure, just remove the washer bottle, battery, the intake tract and try to squeeze a hand down there? No thanks. You'll be taking the sump guard off and jacking the front up to polish the bits you can't get on top from below. I've had pro polished engine parts, before and I was polishing them weekly to keep the oxidization off it

Do you think this would work on an intake manifold, it has that textured finish
@SubaruONLY
5 жыл бұрын
I’ve seen people do it to the intake manifold but you are right about that textured finish complicating things - basically makes the job a hell of a lot more work to knock down all the rough casting. But it does look amazing at the end! 😁😁😁
@psychedelicphlegm
5 жыл бұрын
Doesn’t complicate shit, that’s what sandpapers for. Can remove castings marks and take angle grinders to all unneccessary mounting lugs at the same time. Since look at manifold when open hood, it’s actually worth doing, rather than wasting time tarting up valve covers you don’t even see once engine installed
