I found this video by accident when searching for info about dyeing with pastels.... and I am so excited to have found it 😍 I'm bleaching and dyeing a denim vest. Forget the plain pastel purple... ombre pastels is where I'm headed!

When you actually do wash it in the washing machine did you find that it dyed the rest of the white at all? I tried this and it ended up coloring the white part pink still..

My shirt is so wet with all the water dilute it make my fabric color pastel? looking
@essyjae
3 жыл бұрын
If you think the shirt is too wet to take enough dye, you could try letting it sit for a while so some of the water evaporates, or if you still have some of the dye left, you could try using stronger dye - mix some of the dye with very little water so the color is very concentrated. Hope this helps - good luck!

Tintura para Telas, ese es el nombre. Obviamente faltaría buscar una marca confiable dependiendo del país en el que vivas o también está la opción de comprar por internet. La chava que hizo el video usó la marca Tulip, si de algo te sirve saberlo.

Thank you so much for this method! I put an image on my shirt with transfer paper first before doing the dying which was kind of a mistake, so this will be totally safe for it without having to put it in the washing machine which breaks up the transfer paper (it cracks and makes a terrible finish) thanks again and I can't wait to start!

Just came across this great video as my kids and I have been getting into tie dye this summer. Question...does it matter if the paint brush is polyester/nylon/natural bristles? Thanks.
@essyjae
3 жыл бұрын
I don't think what the paintbrush bristles are made out of will matter. The bristles simply allow the dye to be applied without a hard edge. Tie dye is super fun! Thanks so much for watching my video! :)
