Just made this using your video and links! Super easy. I bought a 69” hose and coiled it around the shower rod instead of zip ties. Thanks for the tutorial!

I wonder if it’s possible to drill a entry and exit hole in the shower rod so you can feed the hose extension through it? Assuming the shower rod is hollow, of course

Just saw a tik tok of the boona and wanted one, but saw the unreasonable price of $300 and knew it could easily be made for less than $40.

That's exactly what prompted me to make this. I couldn't fathom their price tag, but still wanted it, and figured others would too.

I found this looking for something like the tandem shower that wasn't on Kickstarter lol. I might give this a go, but I think I'll use hooks for the hose as I would still want to use a handheld shower head as you normally would. I would love to not be cold while my partner is in the warm water and vice versa. 😂

I think hooks would look really good actually! And there's no way whatsoever that the kickstarter product should be valued at $250, it looks like some type of Fisher Price product with that color scheme and it's clearly just some metal and plastic.

Would look a lot nicer and cleaner if you just neatly wrap hose around the shower rod down the whole length of it. You'd be able to eliminate all slack, and not need zip ties. Would probably need the longer hose length for that though.
@JoeMartinMVC

That's definitely an option. Eventually I plan to custom make a plastic casing to go around it that I can 3D print and get rid of the zip ties all together.

This might be a confusing question. Is there a way to modify this contraption a bit so I don't loose out on the hand held use of the secondary hose shower head? Like a clamp essentially instead of zip ties so I can still remove the hose shower head for use but still be able to put it back up when not in use? Does that make sense? Any help would be great. Love the hack!!

Just get a handheld showerhead for both ends and instead of needing the angled coupler at the other end You attach the hose that comes with the handheld shower head and then just mount it on the suction showerhead holder to hold it when not in use. And do the same for the main end except you can just use the holder that comes with it . That should work i think
@JoeMartinMVC

You could use something like a cable cuff which is quick and easy to remove: amzn.to/3O5Gy4j

I've made a couple of prototypes, but haven't been happy with them. I'll be revisiting it and using magnets to hold pieces together.

Just a suggestion and it may not work, but you could potentially drill holes in the bottom of either end the rod and get a longer hose to run through the rod. That would do away with the zip ties.
@JoeMartinMVC

That's not a bad idea at all and can't see why it wouldn't work really. You'd just drill out half of the curtain rod and then feed the hose through it. Ideally would be a slightly larger curtain rod than the one I used if I were to do that.
@TheVGWeekend

Most curtain rods like this have a spring loaded tensioner inside. Trying to run anything through it would likely ruin the mechanism
@JoeMartinMVC

@@TheVGWeekend Thanks for the info. I can say with the one I have specifically there is no spring, it's purely a twisted tension rod.

Pretty great overall. The heads that I bought have flow restrictors in them so it helps not eat up all of my water pressure when using them at the same time.

I would recommend learning to edit the videos. We don’t need to see the wrapping of the threads and stuff like that. This video could have been five minutes long.
