This video is both an out-of-the-box documentary along with my non-expert evaluation of the Echo CS 400 chainsaw as I cut down a row of 7 evergreen trees that are part of a hedge. I hope that you find this video both informative and entertaining to watch.
Background: To make room for a workshop that I want to build in our backyard, I needed to remove an evergreen tree hedge that had been planted about 25 years ago by the previous owner of our home. I considered renting a chainsaw, but decided it was more economical to purchase one, especially since I have several other tree removal projects planned. Based on the recommendation of Les Samples, the tree removal professional who cut down 13 large fir trees in our backyard, I bought an Echo CS 400 chainsaw at Home Depot for just $299. The 18” bar and 40.2 cc engine was perfect for felling and cutting up these trees, including the stumps at or below grade.
Thank you for visiting my channel and watching this video!
