By adding the two together he increased the cutting surface area, reducing the effectiveness of the axe.

Very clever. I wish that I had that axe at the homestead. The nice thing about wood is that it heats you 3 times. One when bucking logs two when you stack it Three when you put in your stove/fireplace

Youve increased the cutting surface area by 2x, meaning you have 4x less pressure, which is what is needed for splitting.

Weapon: Dual-head axe Powers: Instead of slicing your enemies into two, you can now slice em into four Pros: Heavier so stronger swing Cons: Heavier and slightly harder to store Overall: Pros outweigh cons, keep it

Doesn't this work against the design of how an axe works? Like, fundamentally, axes and other cutting tools minimize the area the forces is being delivered to so you get much more force in that narrow area, but this doubles the contact area, so shouldn't it be half as effective?

I knew immediately that this is meant for wood splitting. You can already buy 4 way splitting wedges for hydraulic wood splitters that look pretty much the same just bigger and on a hydraulic ram.

It works better if you set the 2nd blade back about a 1/2 inch, then you don't apply force to both blades at the same time, and TIG it so the weld has a lower profile 🤙🏼

This is good for grinding woods, cuz a normal axe will take 2 hits to split a wood to 4 pieces, but twin axe can instantly split a wood to 4 pieces, but its useless when it comes to cutting trees,

Heh, there's a reason why this contraption is not a thing. It's easy to align your swing sideways, but hard to align it further/closer from you. You would rarely cut it in 4 equal quarters with this..! Also, last minute you put the head upside down bro! Cool music tho 🤣

Mounted the head upsidedown tho, longer "fang" of the head was pointing up. I would say that's not as good for the traditional chopping role as it could be knocked loose from odd toque but that went out the window when you welded another axe to it
