Hello to dear friends and companions! I'm back with another video from the "DIY" series. Continuing with our series on building power supplies, we're about to start a new and more advanced series of power supplies.
In this video, we will learn how to build a variable power supply using an AC transformer, so we won't need a separate adapter anymore. This type of power supply is very useful for many electronic projects, and you can meet various needs by adjusting the output voltage.
I hope you enjoy watching the video and find this tutorial useful!
Parts and components needed:
1. AC Transformer
2. Bridge Rectifier (or 4 rectifier diodes)
3. Electrolytic Capacitor (or filter capacitors)
4. Voltage Regulator like LM317 or LD1085
5. Heat Sink for cooling the regulator
6. Multi-turn Potentiometer for precise adjustment
7. Breadboard or perforated copper board
8. Wires, jumpers, alligator clips, etc.
9. Multimeter for checking and testing performance
