Just wanted to say thank you for this video. We have an LG washer & dryer; they charge like $300 per machine for their plastic pedestal base. I followed your video and built my own for under $80 of wood/screws and 2ish hours of work over this past weekend. Not having to bend over for laundry is a game changer. Thanks again.

yes thank you so much! i also have lg front loading machines, lg wants 300 a base, and Amazons even more expensive! so, youtube in its all glory, brought me here. i had a lot of 2x4s laying around so i only bought a piece of plywood and screws! changed my life completely

We just got a new front load washer and dryer and the wife asked the same of me. This is a nice easy to do design. Our store wanted $500 for pedestals. Yikes! Heading to the store now.

Not really. I would first establish your overall length. Let’s say roughly 8ft long by 3ft. Probably a 4x8 sheet of plywood & 8-2x4’s would be a good start. All depends on your size. Thanks for watching!!

The stand had no leveling. As far as the washer & dryer, we leveled them just like they were on the floor.

looks great. how does it work with the vent hose for the dryer? does it get in the way, or do you have to keep it off the wall enough to not kink the hose?

I guess it depends on where your tube comes out of the wall. Mine is down low and I just had to have the pedestal out a little bit away from the wall and I just brought it down and didn’t have any troubles.

Do you need to screw the washer dryer to the pedestal? Some times the Washer can vibrate a lot if some heavy quilt etc is washed. I was wondering f there are chances of it slipping and crashing.
