That way runs the risk of not sealing the holes up fully and having to run a tyre with an inner tube installed in it to maintain tyre pressure, this way is better in my opinion.

@@graemew7001 I'm a welder, and all you'd have to do is make sure you have good, deep penatration and it would be fine. And just to make double sure, put some sealant goo around the welds for a 107% success rate. ;-) That way it would be garunteed.

The nails should be hardened or annealed steel at least, it's the welding that most likely to fail I'd say..?

@@bernardfender5147 A proper weld will always be stronger than the parent metal and if done properly and the piece forced to failure the part that breaks will be the parent metal and not the weld.

They should put another bucket seat in backwards so the driver is looking out the rear window. Hook steering up via a bunch of u joints and pillow blocks! Use a RHD steering rack and keep brake and accelerator on drivers side. That way the 2 drivers would need to communicate well. There would be a throttle and brake operator who would call out to the steering operator which direction to turn.

It was a really nice surprise to see a very tidy condition Kawasaki GPZ600R.... I had a GPZ400R and GPZ600R once, both great bikes... 😎 another great project on the wheels too, nice touch with the centre nut, similar to the old British cars - Jaguar, MG etc etc... 😁

You got ladas officially too ! You had the UK export variant of the 2105 , and the same for the Samara (2108 & 2109) But if I remember the 2105 had no change from UK variant, so speed was still measure in MPH ))

You need something like a small disc of metal to cover the center welds. They look a bit lumpy when well-lit. Aside from that, it looks pretty legit.

This is awesome Garage 54 is pretty close to making thier own custom parts ! I hope they do go further every video I watch I get more impressed with them even the wacky goofy stuff too they really push the limits on things and killed so many ladas, covered a truck in concrete , they do everything most guys dream of doing! Wish I knew how to speak Russian because It would be cool to hang out with these guys!!

Instead of those really bad bugger welds, they should have drilled holes in the rim and just put the nails thru the hole and weld it up so you cant see the welds, tire will cover it

If youd have kept more of the center hub you could have still out holes in a staggered pattern and then ran the nails through them and welded them. You could have made some 150 spoke offset pattern and then trimmed the hub of excess material when finished. Would have made them even stronger and hid all of the welds on the inside of the rim. No welds seen at all from the outside giving them a super clean look and look professionally made by a wheel company at the same time!!! Id love to be able to work with yall for a few months!!! I'd have to get an electronic translator so we could understand each other!!! Lol. Id love it!!!

Y’all need to test it in a high stress application with various loads being put on such as aggressive turning or as another viewer suggests using it on a drive axle. I feel like a few more supports angled in opposing directions would really increase the durability.

Now make a 4 way joystick that actuates four single piston cylinders (use a master from a hydraulic clutch - 2002 Accent for example) in an X formation and connect it to a X and Y axis pivoting joystick with pushrods to press into each master, oriented centrally so that each corner of the X points to the wheels LF, RF, RR, LR starting at top left and going clockwise. Connect the other end respectively to each corner of the car's brakes with brake lines - 4 way selective brakes ;)
