Now that’s really behind-the-scenes “how to make a chain-link fence.” I’ve never seen how the jig was made for that job before… very “involved” proceed to make this jig and I’m quite impressed w the ingenuity.

This is exactly how we made hundreds of feet of fence when I was a kid (abroad). I remember it as a nightmare🥲 but at the same time now it’s very laughable 😆

@Catherine Harris cold welding, meaning it isn’t fused like fusion welding It also goes by contact welding because nothing is being melted together so there is no phase transition

I look at this as more of a learning video as to how chain link fence is made and not really a tutorial on how I could do it myself. But a cool process. If you had asked me how it's made, I probably wouldn't have been able to come up with any decent ideas.

Oh cool, now I just need to go buy an arch welder, blue masking tape, a vice to hold metal while I weld, a welders mask, gloves, a metal tube, metal plate, threaded rod, a few nuts, washer, angle grinder, drill with drill bits and the wire and I can finally put up my own fence and save some money
