Great idea! I'm pretty handy with a needle and thread but glue is much quicker. That was a great tip. A word of advice, try turning the pins vertically and then that way you can iron right over them and remove them afterwards. Also you can use elastic instead of wire to make scrunchies. They're great for buns and pineappling your hair for bed.

I made these! Went to hobby lobby, got a 1/4 yard of fabric for under $2 that makes 2 headbands and 2 bun ties. Wire was on sale for $1. Most expensive part was the duck tape and fabric glue but they have multiple uses. Made some for me and some for friends and family.

So happy I found this. If you’re a craft junkie or quilter like me, you can also use wonder clips to hold the fabric in place. Or office supply clips!

Super cute. I love the idea of adding the duct tape to the wire before inserting it into the fabric. I bought some of these headbands from overseas off of ebay and the wire in the headband can be very uncomfortable. This is definitely a must try, and that faux leather headband is awesome!

This is genius! Lol, I love it and will try it as soon as I find some fabric and fabric glue. Instead of the Bobby pins you can put heavy flat objects, like textbooks (I'm in college and have plenty to spare. They would finally be put to good use!) to keep the heavier fabric flat without the marks.

I remember these from the 80's. Very cute!! I'm a seamstress so no gluing for me but you might try using binder clips when you glue the edges of the vinyl down. They will hold it really securely and there's no chance they'll get stuck in the glue like pins can. :)
