Great fix! The baffle works really well, but I did notice heat going out the chimney & I’m looking forward to seeing how that gets used!

That is going to be a important video. It’s one of the coolest things I’ve ever made. Hopefully soon! Thanks

Wood stove heat is the best on a cold day❤️🔥great fix on that! Would be cool to see some of your heat transfer sculptures with your heat detecting camera!

Why not use sides as rradiator - just weld metal sheet vertically to the outer walls. Bonus points: weld where are tack welds inside.

Hello, Definitely could add more surface area to the sides but I like smooth for all the none burning months and it heats up super fast as is. Thanks,

Hi, my quarter inch baffle plane keeps warping so i bent it flat again. Is it safe to weld another quarter inch steel plate on top or bottom to reinforce it? and should it be on top or bottom? thanks

Hello, sure it’s s fine to add a layer on either top or bottom. Weld it well if you don’t want it to come apart. 👍

can't really tell how this is made, let alone how I should incorporate any changes to my steel stove design...

There is angle welded to sides with tapped holes so the front, back, top and bottom are bolted on. This isn’t necessary nor a good idea. But I do like the floating baffle. It can expand and contract as well as be slid front to back allowing for draw adjustment. How’s your steel stove doing?
