jody patterson uk drum n bass deviated from my personal tastes, big time - in the early 2000's. went too overcomplicated, 'digitally noisy' and not dark enough for us/me.. very similar to what happened to the dubstep scene not so long afterwards. so if its that you want credit for then take it :D tbh the nearest to 'perfection' i heard wasnt english or canadian, twas dj teebee out of norway. his stuff sounded like you really were listening to someone who indeed lived in darkness for half the year. but thats personal taste squarepusher probably deserves a mention too we have richard d james though so its all good :)

He's a hype man not an MC and yes there's a difference. I would consider MC GQ more of a hype man than an MC imo so use him as a reference to differentiate between the two.
