if whatever you are using cdjs, controllers of software has echo/delay effect use that if your hip hop to house has big bpm range but you dont have the songs required to slowly build the bpm up. If you are experienced enough you can just cut the two songs at the right moment, but to do that you need to know your songs

Not a tutorial but... I found that using loop rolls and halfing them while keeping in time with the beat of your song and pitching up slowly on your HPF/LPF, you can create your own "drop" and quickly cut the crossfader to the house track.

That made sense to me. And was the guidence I was searching for. I was thinking what dj style I was most interested in when clubin my self and it the one that gets it banging and keeps it there for me especially false builds then switch to the stomping part of another ace track and knowing when to let a full tune ride. Also some tracks are poo if you don't get the full inro so need to be dropped after a low part at the end of a track to fully appreciate. Thanks for the video.

One thing I learned is that if you are playing in a club or venue before you go on, note the songs that move folks to really dance, watch for the girl groups or those fella who want to show off, or even dancers or performers..Playing to these groups will always be better then just a handful. Or hoping your next track will get it going..And a last point..If your playing from the lead slot, its always a good idea to TALK to the crowd! The lead slot DJ is the DJ who has the hardest time! Or easiest

Hy there. Nothing wrong with keeping the X-Fade in the middle and using your EQs. I usually also do this unless I cut a tune. I play Reggae/Dancehall, so there are a lot of vocals. For me it sound smoother if I kill the Basedrum on the deck 1 while fading up track 2 and turning down the Middle ( and sometimes the Highs ) on deck 1. Do not spend to much in theory. Trust your own feelings and ask for opinions from others. Anyway, Ella's vids also gave me some basic knowledge some time ago :)
