He's got a video of him and Craig Morgan singing a song at the Grand Old Opry . Craig gives him a present on stage. I never thought they would let a man with his background onto that stage. I am so happy for him and I'm glad that the Opry has him there. He deserves it. More than most.

This song was from Jelly's latest album titled "Ballads of the Broken" which is more southern rock than anything else. He raps a bit on a few tracks. Overall I would consider this the best album I've heard from any artist in any genre in over a decade or more. Every single track on the album is perfection. On the day that his song "Save Me" went gold he was invited to play the Opry, becoming the first rapper to ever do so. He finished that performance in tears and to a standing ovation. I first got wind of Jelly Roll over a decade ago when a video of him rapping freestyle went viral on KZitem. I didn't hear anything from him for years after until about 5 years ago when his sound was more polished for the casual listener yet still earthy and relatable to those that grew up rough and tumble on the wrong side of the tracks. I've been a huge fan ever since. I once asked a coworker about 2 or 3 years ago if they had ever heard of this rapper called Jelly Roll and they said 'No'. I remember telling them, "don't worry, you will'. It's really great to see so many of these boundary breaking southern rap artists that I've been fans of for years finally receive the acclaim that their superior level of talent definitely deserves. ✌

Definitely need to watch the Craig Morgan and Jelly Roll performance. They sound great together. 'Almost Home' by Craig inspired Jelly Roll while he was in jail. Jelly tells the story during his Grand Ole Opry debut and when Craig heard about it, he invited him back to sing it with him. I cry every time I watch it.
