Hey man great video! Finally someone who I can connect with on a professional level who knows what they are talking about. I'm a commercial mobile DJ. I get most of my music from smashvision.com because I've been converting everything to video. I also use promo only because I can get the audio only versions on songs that don't have videos. Both of these work great for me being in a commercial music environment. These two are my favorites that I've stayed with over the years. I started with promo only in 1998 when they did cds.

I am subscribed to Franchise Record Pool, DJ City and Digital DJ Pool. Franchise has a lot of new music, some throwbacks and I love the different edits they offer for each song. DJ City, I am still new to but they seem to have some exclusive tracks that I can't find on the other two sites. Digital DJ Pool is one that I like a lot because of all of the remixes and mashups they have available. I have submitted some remixes for members to download as well. I like those 3 sites. I am in the process of checking out Digiwaxx as well. Great video as always, TLM. Peace.

I use Digital DJ Pool, and I like how their MP3's already have cue points set so I see them as soon as I drag them on a deck in Virtual DJ. I wish they had a better selection for trance, though. They have it, and I have built quite a trance library from it, but I had to go back a year or two ago to really get a lot of stuff I like. I may cancel with them unless they put out lots of new (good) trance music. Also, not all of the trance they have is great. It's playable in my book, and I like it, but it's not as spectacular as what I purchased myself. The only really really REALLY good trance I've seen on there is by Estatica. Their album "Estatica Sound" came out in March 2017, and they put it on the DJ pool in July, and it was absolutely amazing. Everything else is not spectacular but I like it, or okay but I like it and will play it, or not too bad but not something I would play.

Here is my opinion. For mobile DJ's I like either Promo Only or Prime Cuts. I would probably give the edge to Prime Cuts if you want to cover all the main genres of music without having to fork over a lot of money. Plus you get current smooth jazz tracks which is great for doing dinner hour at weddings. They repeat a few songs as does Promo Only if you subscribe to multiple genres, but it's worth it. Prime Cuts is about $50 a month. If you're into video, Promo Only would be the way to go, all the videos are great quality and the credits at the beginning and end of each video is a nice touch. They also offer different kinds of video...top 40, urban, club, country etc. The prices vary upon how many genres you pick. Another one I should mention is one called Videotoolz, it is mainly geared toward the club DJ, but they get their share of radio versions of songs too. They also provide video and they usually have a lot of different versions of videos for mixing as well. You can also find some old school songs and videos there as well. They have come a long way from when they were called 8th Wonder. The web site seems to be a lot better than it used to be and the price is really good. I was lucky to get "grandfathered" in for $9.99 a month but it shouldn't be much more than that. One more that I don't subscribe to but it looks very interesting is X-Mix. They have been around for years and now they have online service too. For a long time they were only available on cd. They have 3 radio series issues...Rhythm & Top 40, Urban, and Rock and Country. 3 Remix series...Dance, Urban, and Chartbusters. And also a specialty series featuring...Club Classics, Short Cutz, Dancehall Devastation, and Essential Megamixes. I was able preview some stuff from a friend who subscribes to them and it's pretty awesome the variety you get and the remixes are well done, especially the Chartbusters series. They give you a nice intro and outro without going "club crazy" on the song. Of course if you like more club oriented remixes than the dance and urban are good as well. I understand that they now provide music video too and you can choose to have your music 3 different ways...Online through the pool, a DVD disc with everything on it, or the old fashioned way on CD. Of course getting it on CD would be more expensive as all the different series would be split up (one per disc), but the option is there.

They also have an incredibly deep catalogue of music, update every weekday, have mostly all exclusive edits and a new iPhone app that allows you to sync files you want directly to your Dropbox so you can get your work done on the go and not be limited to sitting in front of your laptop to do your work. +D Lewis (DJSpade) Hey, i just read this, and i have to be honest, i have no idea why they do. But i had no issues with them since i started using it. i use avast to protect my laptop and it never picked up any virus from dmp. i mean, it's 19.99$ a month. get dj city if you feel more secure with it. I never had a problem and i don't think you will. I hope this will help, but again, dj city is my second best option if you don't trust dmp. its 30 bucks a month and they have tons of music. I hope this helped you a little

I am subscribed to DJCITY and I love that it has so many options in terms of edits of songs such as acapella, instrumentals, Dirty/Clean versions, loops, and main. It is a 3 month subscription of $90 ($30 a month) which is not that bad. I feel that this dj pool is more geared toward Electro and less toward hip hop and rap. One con that I have with DJCITY is that the tracks are only up for 6-8 months which makes it difficult to find older "throwback" tracks for your set. Sometimes DJCITY does do a special "throwback" "intro" edit of a few tracks, but not enough for me :/ I have tried Digital DJ Pool which is $12 a month but I found that it is really unorganized for example if you type in Jay-z into the search box you will only find 1 track but if you type jayz you will find 2 tracks, this becomes very frustrating having to think of all the different ways to spell an artist name so that I can find some of their tracks. Cool thing about Digital DJ Pool is that you get a $1 5 day subscription to try it out, so you should check it out, it might not be for me but something your interested in.

Mr TLM I am an inspiring female Dj and watch ALL your videos. Only question I have is that I tried to get in a record pool but they say you have to be a Dj. How do I join if I have not did any shows?

Man thanks so much for this info!!!!!! I have a monthly subscription where I get a cd in the mail with all genre. But the hip-hop is never the most up-to-date and I find myself buying tracks becaues of this. Also because it has more of the mainstream hip hop than mixtape stuff.

personally I really like BPM Supreme because all their releases featuring the intro version and if you are into mixing videos with Serato DJ. This is for you under 20 dollars!
