Thank you for posting this issue. I haven't had much time to test my copy but I will try shooting in these conditions and see what I get.

Sorry all the issues you had with your first Mavic 3. And great testing of the 7X zoom lens. Great video and information, thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing! I still got green dots during golden hours in the latest version of Mavic 3 firmware v01.00.0400 and DJI Fly V1.5.4. I'm afraid it is related to the anti-reflective coatings.

Yeah - to your point, it's going to be a hard fix with firmware as its an optical issue with the heavy anti-reflective coating on the elements. Maybe they'll be able to do it though - even changing the color from neon green to a nice amber would make a world of difference.

Download my video chart with ND filters and print out. Film the gray card of it for few seconds and one click in post you will get perfect colors with any drones or cameras. Make sure your Kelvin is 5000k on manual mode. Happy filming!!! No more crazy colors on your videos. Always use the right Shutter Angle as well no matter how far or close you film to the subject to avoid video playback problems on devices with higher hertz.

Thanks for the tips! For me, I'm mostly doing stills, so its a slightly different approach that can't be easily fixed through color balance (though that certainly helps a lot). The issue I'm encountering is that the green/magenta balance varies along the tone curve, with shadows and mid tones especially affected. This can be adjusted too - just takes more work per image.

The Autofocus has been an issue ever since I can remember going back to the original Mavic Pro days. Focus the distance you are going to be shooting at then disable AF. Fatal Flaw? Every review so far has states the Zoom lens on this M3 is pretty much junk anyway :)

Thanks for the feedback! And yeah, I couldn't resist the alliteration... And I agree the 7x lens leaves a lot to be desired. Software updates should be able to fix some of it. Softness and such can be compensated for to one degree or another too. But in the end, as a guy who values speed, reliability and avoiding extra steps, having to find work lengthy workarounds puts the pinch on an already busy schedule. But - as the first ever in it class, it's exciting to think of what might come next.

Has anyone considered the green dot problem might be related to having light bleed in from two lenses vs just one. Thoughts? Quick test would be to cover up one of the lenses and see if the issue goes away...?

It's possible, especially with my first one. If the two sensors weren't completely isolated from each other, light bleed could have occurred. But in general *and with my replacement) because of how the green dot(s) behave, it's almost certainly an internal lens refraction issue - all modern lenses have this issue, though very few to the degree you see with the Mav 3.

Yes - though with the latest update, it seems less frequent, and the manual focus option is a bit better, you can now click to focus on your subject, then click on mf to keep it there.

Was this shot in D-Log?

No - one of the things about the 7x camera module is that (at least as of the most current update) the output options are extremely limited, and to the best of my knowledge, there is no way to shoot D-Log when in explore mode.
