EIS has gotten very good over the last few years as can be attested from extreme biking videos. Historically, though, speed and stabilization are good friends. Slow the bumpy action down and the process does not work as well.
I recently took a DJI Osmo Action 4 out for filming multiple zip lines. In between zipping, I had an opportunity to take a long tour in an amphib vehicle. Actually, it was two tours; one was about forty-five minutes, the other about twenty-five.
The terrain was extremely pitted and bumpy. I was a single, so I had to drive and film (blind) at the same time by leaning way forward and sticking my arm out the front or side of the vehicle. This just exacerbated the effects of the extremely bumpy terrain. My back was genuinely sore after finishing both tours, but it was worth it for the wildlife views.
I thought RockSteady+ did a very credible job given the circumstances. It performed superbly on the zip lines, btw. See what you think.
The footage was filmed in D-Log M and graded in Resolve Studio 18. No LUT's.
