You are spot on that one. When I was a salesman at a dealership a few years back, the people who surprised me the most were the most humble, dressed in walmart clothes, and were very cool and not at all uptight. Those folks usually were the ones with very deep pockets. As opposed to the uptight people acting like they're rich and too good to be spoken to by a "salesman," extremely rarely did they ever make a purchase and when they did you bet your ass they were fighting tooth and nail for every last penny. And sure enough, their credit usually turned out to be dog 💩 too lol. I treated everyone equally, and I knew to always treat people who seemed to be broke with a little bit more respect because those were usually the folks who were amazing to work with.

@@PhattPhatt07 Quick similar story i was told years ago that you might find amusing. I'll give you the cliff notes. This took place probably back in the early 90's in Florida. The eldest son of a very famous international recording artist went into a luxury car dealership looking at cars. This guy is known for dressing down, cargo shorts, t shirts, flip flops etc, doesn't have an entourage, very low key. Anyway the snob salesmen took one look at him and probably thought this bum cannot afford anything in here so they ignored him. After awhile seeing that he was being ignored, he quietly left, went to another dealer and bought 2 brand new Mercedes, no financing necessary. 😂 Those salesmen at the original dealership probably cost themselves a 5 figure commission that day. 😢There's truth in the saying, 'Never judge a book by it's cover.'

To the comment about "its not there job to prove legitimacy of money". If a business receives money that is part of a crime, that money can be taken back as evidence in that crime. It would be in the best interest of the company to accept what they believed to be legal currency. The cashiers check idea would offer more protections for them

It was obvious that they allowed people to start cars up in their that is why the white guy threw him the keys. The brother was being an ass to his own kind because he thought they were hood and couldn’t afford any of the cars. He even lied and said they don’t allow test drives. What dealership don’t allow test drives. While he (meaning the black dude) was looking at how they were dressed he never paid attention to the bag they were carrying but the white boy did notice the bag. And that is why he stayed quiet with the keys in his hand. Because he knew that they had that bag in that bag.
