I do occupational therapy in schools and I love this curriculum! The printing lessons seem great and the dot maps are excellent for visual motor skills which translate well to copying sentences, words. I sometimes add a red line to the bottom line to give a visual place to stop when printing. Also brain breaks are great for getting those wiggles out…a minute or 2 of dancing is a great way to help with refocusing. Great job mama!

Thank you for the feedback! It’s good to hear a different perspective! I have done that with the red line on the bottom of his writing! It does help. Hes pretty good at remembering now but that is such a good tip! Thank you ❤️

Thank you! I will be using CLE for the first time the 2023-2024 school year. I am using K2 with my kindergartener after she finishes All About Reading Pre Reading. I am using English and Reading with 2nd grader.

Thank you! Honestly, I haven't used any flashcards with him yet. I do own some, but I never think to get them out. So I'd say it depends on the child. I'm more of a math flash card mom rather than a language one.

That seems like a lot of work for 1st grade but it does look like a solid curriculum. Does he ever resist the work? I have a Kindergarten son and looking into curriculum for him next year. I’m not sure he could handle this many pages! 😅 How long does it take to do one of these lessons? I really do like the looks of this curriculum!! Edit: you mentioned at the end that sometimes the lessons are long but I am curious I guess to know a little more as I am very impressed by the curriculum from I saw in your video today.

It’s going pretty well. He’s not as thrilled to do book work as my girls were so it’s a lot more slow going 🤦♀️ but he’s understanding everything and learning a lot as we go. Just a much slower pace.

😂🤣 Your son is adorable! My 6 year old girl acts just like him! 😅 I’m so glad I found you! I’m 64 and adopted and raising my granddaughter since she was 3 months old. I knew from the very beginning I would homeschool her. But I’ve been TERRIFIED how I would find a curriculum that wouldn’t be overwhelming! CLE looks like just what I’ve been praying for. So I ordered the first grade LA, Bible, and Math yesterday!! I feel so relieved that we have a plan for this fall now. But I didn’t order Learn to Read because she’s so advanced in her reading that I thought it would be very boring for her. She reads chapter books with ease. She learned just from me reading to her since she was a baby. Do you think there’s any reason I should have ordered it anyway? Will she be missing out on anything? We didn’t do any curriculum for kindergarten other than playing and a few workbooks I bought at Walmart, Amazon, and the dollar store. Also, I saw where you said you loved CLE math. I wish I had seen that sooner because I just ordered first grade Math With Confidence from Amazon right before I found you. Like you, I hate math and have math anxiety so I wanted to help my little girl to love it and think it was fun. So I guess we will work on that till we start CLE this fall. This little girl I believe is so much smarter than I was at this age because she seems to learn quickly and loves it, thankfully! 😅 I’m so thankful for you mama’s who take the time to put these videos out there for us. I would be so lost without the help and encouragement I get from watching your videos!! Thank you!

Thank you so much for the encouragement! That is incredible what you are doing for your sweet granddaughter! What a blessing you are going to be to her on this journey! ♥ I think you made the right choice! If she is already reading chapter books, there is no need for her to do Learning to Read. Maybe take the placement test to see what she is ready for with Language and Reading levels if you're not completely sure. I don't know anything about Math with confidence, but if you already ordered it, it probably won't hurt anything to use it at this young age! You might want to check out CLE for next year's math!

I didn’t know there were placement tests so I will look for those! Thank you so much. I’m so glad I found out about CLE from you and I’m also going to homeschool year round after hearing your reasons. That just makes so much sense for us! I’m now looking forward even more to this homeschool journey. 😊❤

@danahall1282 so, I have some of the flash cards, but client use them. I have here and there but I haven’t really needed them with my kids. So if you get the teacher book, light units, and readers, you should be fine, unless your kid needs extra help!
