i agree but you cannot "accidentally" open a door or a window on a plane. They're made in a way where the pressure inside the plane locks them in place when flying.

I think he just meant he was shocked at all the amenities the plane actually has (i.e. a bed, lounge, dining booths, etc.). Being blue collar myself, I definitely had no idea they had all this as an option (albeit impossibly expensive) when flying! 🤯

@@tw8464 It's probably a better idea to sleep during as much of the flight as possible (except takeoff and landing). For three reasons: 1. If the plane has an emergency, there will be an announcement from either the pilots or the flight attendants. 2. If the plane has such a bad emergency that there is no time for the pilots to communicate the emergency to the passengers or flight attendants, you will probably notice anyway. 3. If the plane needs to make an emergency landing, you need to be well rested (not tired) and in a good mental state (not panicked) so that you don't do something stupid or injure yourself during an evacuation.

I definitely can't afford seats like that BUT I had a once in a lifetime experience when flying standby to Paris from Florida! We got upgraded to buisness with the lay down seats (none of which were as fancy as shown in this video) but it was very very cool, and getting to sleep laying down was a miracle since we left in the afternoon and arrived in the morning due to time zones

I started off (in childhood) as a nervous flier. Not that we had reasons to fly as much. Then after getting a job and moving everywhere.. I still get anxious when me or anyone I know, especially family are flying. And yes, being belted in .. is my OCD level request ro even those who are on road.

I got so mad at myself as a teen for falling asleep in 1st class. I guess the whole section had cancelled so myself and the other unaccompanied minor were upgraded for FREE. And it was a 6 hour flight! I made it like 1 hour. I had stayed up the night prior and whoopsie turns out I'm Narcoleptic. But even so man 😭

All airplanes is required to have seatbelts, no matter classes as required by regulation. So you can’t really escape seatbelts anyways on the airplane..

Some of the shoulder belts have airbags built in as the angled seats can't show safe crash loading without the extra area provided by an airbag (imagine hitting a wall straight on or at a 30 degree angle)

Yup, even when we went to Graceland, Elvis had 2 planes, one of which has a bed installed, like a full Queen or King sized bed, and Elvis had to have a seat belt installed that goes across the bed.

The only thing lapstraps are good for is keeping you vaguely within your seat during turbulence. In a planecrash they'll just chop you in half. Personally, I prefer a full H harness and some controls to play with.
