I didn't think this would work since I have a wifi router with no physical antennas sticking out (WNR2000v5). But I see in your video there's an Orbi, so I thought I'd give it a try. Signal strength bumped up from 75% to 97%! Thanks!

most cans contain some sort of aluminium coating...mixed with other metals that convey the waves better, also the cans with the ribbles in em have a bigger surface to use to reaggregate the radio(wifi/bluetooth/fm) waves ;-)..... the initial charge state of the metal being used is also important.. radiowaves can excite the molecules that then catalize a reaction that re-emits and or strenghtens the "waves" im really rudimentary in thinking here... stuckinaglobule really :d

Back again! I would have thought the bigger reflector should have produced the higher figure (it didn't), was this because it uses foil, as opposed to the cans being thicker and possibly more able to reflect the signal? When your ready😂😂

So if your wifi would be in the basement for some odd reason and your in the second floor how would the aluminum router look like? Would I put it under the wifi or something because I’m upstairs??
@djsensacion7
Жыл бұрын
That's one thing that wasn't tested. Signal strength is poor with some routers when going upstairs. If you WiFi is in a lower floor, bridge/mesh the router is the best way to go. If you can, use the thick, name brand foil and make a fake satellite dish.

Thick walls are WiFi cancer. Luckily my house is not that old. When I set set up an Orbi WiFi system at my Parents house which was built in the 1930’s the WiFi dropped in half just because of one wall. The house needed 3 additional satellites for full coverage. Crazy.

Thanks Doca, I’ve been using the Orbi for quite a few months and I’ve found it to be very reliable. It has a more far reaching range than my Virgin media hub. I would recommend the Orbi system if you have a large house and you need to have Wifi in every room and also if you have old thick brick walls. It’s expensive thou but it would be worth the investment if you have really poor WiFi coverage. There are other systems available I might add. I would love to try the google system, not that I would have any use for it as I’m all set.
