Yay, you go, Dawn! I'm very impressed with your progress. There is a National Weight Loss Registry online. It is a huge data base of people who have successfully lost weight and kept it off. The success stories are all over the map, "I went vegan and it saved my life!" is right next to "I went carnivore and lost 120 pounds." Every diet that has ever been invented is represented there. People usually mistake what works for them for what works, period. Nope. There is no "one size fits all," no matter what the doctors and dieticians tell you. Everybody has to find their own best plan for weight loss. I could no more do OMAD than fly to the moon, but I am quite happy and healthy with a low-carb high protein protocol. This is definitely a case of "to each his own!"

I have a weight amount that I refuse to go over. I just won’t ! So, I weigh myself every morning to keep this on target. I don’t obsess with it but if I only weigh once a month, I could gain 10 pounds and that would be depressing and I would rather not have to then, lose those 10 pounds also. I eat 2 meals a day. But most days I have an eating window of 8 am-4 pm. I go to bed at 10 pm. So, not going to bed with a full stomach allows our bodies to re fresh and heal. So, that’s what I do.

Losing it and keeping it off, easy for me during summer but when fall and winter comes around the cold weather makes it to easy to put some of the pounds back on........ maybe it will different this time. I'm enjoying your videos.

I think that if your the one setting the rules, cheating is kind of impossible. 😂 For me, I pay attention to what my body is telling me. If it's hungry I feed it. If I'm not, I don't. Sometimes that I a problem if I'm very hungry in the afternoon and then skip family dinner. So I start off with a piece of fruit

Listening to my body worked for me for years. Then menopause came. I never feel extremely hungry. I go from no hunger to waiting half the day and going from no hunger to nearly faint and passing out. So my hunger signals no longer work. My stomach rarely growls, unless it is unhappy, and I have a long list of foods post menopause that no longer love me. Nutritious ones. Be thankful your metabolism and body work well. There is no guarantee in age that won't reverse and flip.

So glad you have lost that much weight I was 240 and now down to 196 I got diabetes and had to change a lot of things it's very hard to do it and keep it off but we both of us will feel better we get to our goal weight I'm praying for you 🙏

My problem is relaxing at the kitchen table. We walk into our house through our kitchen where we spend the most time. I have to eat, get up and do the dishes and LEAVE the room and find something to do in another room. I have this plan in my head but executing it is something else.

Omad works for you, because you don't feel deprived (all foods are good), you can save money, and you have tons of time. Intermittent fasting gained me those same benefits. I tried going to one meal, but my bad digestion can't handle the amount of calories I would need to sustain me throughout the day. If you add enzymes and probiotics to your routine, you might find out that you lose even more weight. Enzymes keep me from hurting from good foods going through my body. Menopause depletes the enzymes, and the lack of hormones mess up digestion. Treat menopause well, and you will feel well. I have no insurance, so I am resorting to holistic ways.

Dawn, that is fantastic! Losing 29 pounds since May 1st is a quite an accomplishment! OMAD, is your baby! It's the meal plans that's working well for you! Have that cookie every now and then. It's okay! I dred the Halloween candy in the stores!😂 Haven't had any sweets but lemon cookies; in over 4 months! I do love candy corn but will have to pass it by!😅 Keep doing what you are doing Dawn! 👏😊💜

Great news on the weight loss! While I’m still a little baffled on how OMAD works, I agree, if it works then do it. Just curious, are you counting calories? The limited calories I eat in a day, I would never be able to eat it all at once. It’s working for you, so congrats!

Although I’m not vegan, I follow this guy on KZitem who eats only once a day, all vegan and he’s 61… looks like he’s 40… his girlfriend also looks amazing and also eats once a day, vegan. I know I couldn’t be vegan. I like eggs and bacon and butter and meat in general. But I do love my fruits and veggies as well. It’s the sugar and white breads and chips and fried foods that’s killing us !
