Would soaking in acetone have worked to separate the base from the stone?

Thanks for the tip, I was thinking about getting some sharpening stones for my tools. Also, out of interest, what do you think about the flint tools line? I think it’s made by craft sha but it seems to be marketed and priced as a higher end product. I was browsing leathercraft Japan and I saw them, was wondering what your thoughts were
