No Smenteå is a song in Friulian, written to keep the memory of the earthquake of Friuli Venezia Giulia in its 40th anniversary. The song is written by Roberto Piuzzo and Guido Covazzi, arranged by Alessio Venier and then adapted for children's choir by Marko Feri and Giovanni Molaro.

FRIULI THANKS YOU AND DOES NOT FORGET
DO NOT FORGET
That evening, 6th of May,
my heart was shattered
and suddendly I heard
the shouting of the ogre.
All dark, everything was moving
I didn't know where to escape,
I still don't believe
I can tell all that, being alive.
But we couldn't kill the ogre by ourselves
and the whole world came to the Friulian people's aid,
with its strenght and its heart, we can't forget!
If you think a minute
can make you lose it all
I thank the fate
that let me grow up.
Ho many friends without a home,
how many dead to be accompanied,
with fatigue and without anger,
no fear of tomorrow.
Without clamor,
but resigned
with Friulian pride,
proud of our homeland
a miracle to display.
Don't weep
for this story
we have to narrate,
for the dead and for the living
it's important not to forget!
For the dead and for the living
it's important not to forget!
