Ryan, why is it when a judge dismisses a case against a citizen that has no merit, or factual evidence (mainly because of the officer’s negligence/wrongdoing) the judge fails to hold the arresting officer or the local DA accountable? The citizen may have been wrongly jailed, vehicle towed and impounded, took a day off or missed a days wages from work and the judge allows the issue to be simply dismissed. The same judge that dismisses the case should be obligated to hold the officer accountable for his poor performance and poor conduct. Even if it’s a single contempt of court charge for the arresting officer. This action will create an official record and pattern of conduct for the arresting officer.

So how does this fit with DUI checkpoints where they stop everyone and demand ID?

what if they say we want to check your window tint or some other obscure reason to start the traffic stop?

But they do. All the damn time. Because of qualified immunity. All in my opinion .🇺🇸

Qualified immunity MAY get them out of a civil lawsuit. But in terms of a criminal case, if they’re caught being dishonest it may lead to the evidence being suppressed or even the criminal case being thrown out.

They can just say that one of your brake lights was flickering even if it wasn’t just to pull you over. Doesn’t matter if it was or wasn’t that’s all they need.

In that case you’d want to make sure your lawyer orders a copy of the squad video as well as any body warn camera of the officer(s) at the scene

Hey Ryan great short video it gave me some on-site on my traffic stop, the Kansas highway patrol has been using lincense tag reader to pull over offenders that have to register the trooper wrote it was a traffic stop for speeding 5mph over the posted limit 65. All he wanted to see or in his view was My apps on my cell phone which on my new phone was a Gmail app which he saw upon placing me in his car I saw my registration on the screen of his compute when I entered the car so would that be a traffic stop on a curious, whim or caprice ? When I went to jail I learned that the KHP have arrested numerous offenders on this tactic

Lets put "traffic" stops to the Supreme Court ruling Bruen test! Imagine our Forefathers being forced to stop and "detained" agaisnt thier will by the British magistrates men while traveling down a dirt road in thier horse and buggy (modern mode of transportation) and told they owe a "tax", "fee", or "fine" to the court magistrate because thier horses was trotting too fast instead of walking down an already taxed road. What would our Forefathers do to them? Keep in mind that the Constitution spells out what a "crime" is and even today "traffice offenses" are NOT crimes. We already know what our Forefathers did to the British magistrates, B.A.R. "attorneys" and thier men in our history. The "police" aren't even listed or mentioned in the Federal Constitution or in any States Constitutions, only an elected Sheriff is. The term "police" came from "policy", which is what they enforce; policies! People have a free Right to travel unmolested absent a CRIME! How about you do a video telling everyone about Barratry and the privately own BAR Association!

So a beautiful license has been suspended and an officer. Just following you calls your place in and find out that the registered owner is suspended. Can they bend pull you over

OK, something doesn't make sense. How can anyone claim "You are about to commit a crime" and use that as a reason to pull you over? Make it make sense. If that were the case, any cop could pull you over the instant you pull out of your driveway then claim "You are about to speed so I'm going to ticket you." Have commited and in the process of committing a crime is one thing, but "about to commit"?

Why can they do DUI check points

If you didn't commit a crime, you do not have to provide a DL and you never answer questions. They're blatantly unconstitutional. Stand your ground. All their orders are illegal orders. All they can do is ask. (check your state, for some reason, your Rights change state by state, which is absurd) *not a lawyer*

When will ya discuss the legality of a citizen rights to use legal lethal force against a Leo or Leos that commit illegal actions against the citizens? A bit of wee information that our criminal justice instructor taught us on how to understand our Constitutional rights and to know when ya may either use legal lethal force against a LEO OR arrest them if ya witness them committing a crime . Oddly enough our criminal justice instructor had been a LEO in our city which is a major city.
