I had a thought when you mentioned the study about taking a walk improving divergent thinking. It made me think about when we are having an argument with someone, people say to take a walk. What If it's not just about calming down, but the act of walking activates that divergent thought and helps us figure out how to reconcile with the other person. Or helps us articulate our own thoughts better so we can be better understood.

Back in my college days I used to skip walk my rope on my way to work and when I got decent at it, I jogged and skipped rope on my way to work. My core was so strong and my level of alertness was off the charts.
