Great advice lad. Unfortunately university culture is to drink to excess and so many of us get swept up in it. I always think back to my time there and imagine what I could've done if I put the time in there to build something for myself instead of wasting so much time drinking and partying. The sooner you can put alcohol to the side, the better. There's nothing sadder than seeing guys who are 30 in the pub every night, overweight and unhealthy because they never got out of that cycle.

Exactly bro. I have been clean from alcohol for over 6 years now. Yes I have had a wine a couple times per year with a certain type of dinner, but nothing more than that. I relate to nobody around me with this lifestyle. Everybody is just drinking every week. Like why??? haha

I believe I am quite addicted to my cell phone. I am sick, I tempered off on my training, I do not clean my room, etc. From today on I will reduce my screen tim to half an hour a day: create one post, check messages, boom that's it f7nished. Rest of the day think with my own brain, not consume other's thoughts. I am my own boss I am the king of the world ladies and gentleman. I know I can do it I just have too leave the darkside.

I've given up booze since new years, I'm 6 weeks in. I've been able to stack new layers of weekly progression and habits Into my life because I've got the energy to do so. Also not having alcohol as a crutch has meant that Ive been developing my natural confidence around approaching and talking to women in normal environments. The only downside as you've also mentioned is that people feel really threatened when I tell them I'm not drinking and they feel the need to explain themselves and make it awkward so I just tell them it's because of my upcoming fight which is true anyway. Good content mate, and a good message indeed.

We are in the same boat Ronin, I quit alcohol after NYE this year. It started as a 'Dry January' but I figured I'm sticking with it for as long as I want to. And man, do people feel threatened when you tell them you don't drink. During January most people were supportive, but the last two weeks people have really been egging me on about getting back to drinking. Good luck with your fight!

Havent been drinking for 6 months now. Sadly I can't say my life 10x but it did get better. I started working out, became more confident and put a bit more effort into my music career (already was serious about it tho). The only thing i dont agree with here is "hiding" the fact you stopped drinking. Thats a huge plus about yourself. I always tell that to girls, yeah im on my shit. I DONT DRINK. Use it to your advantage

What it worked for me, it's to reduce the time, not directly to 5 hour to 1 but i tried to go little by little like imagine you play everyday, try to play 1 day and next day not. When you are comfortable, play only the weekend, thenplay only the sunday, 1 week and 1 week not. Long story short just reduce the time / day and try to do something isntead like read, work gym etc

Why can’t people just drink in moderation? I feel like the alcohol card is overrated. Did guys really get hammered consistently? If yes, on what? most booze tastes like shit(beers inclusive). Aside wine and cocktails (which are typically drunk in moderation) most of it is piss poor. Not trying to hate, just genuine sentiments.
