So, dead Oak Tree, love it… I have to say, growing up in rural America, and still living there too, I have tons of farm land around me and you have now sparked my creative juices to go out and drive around to see what I can come up with.. and, I had roasted chicken with roasted vegetables and potatoes for dinner tonight too. Thanks Mads!

I am thrilled to have come across this video just by chance. I live in Illinois, USA where the views are just the same as yours. I've seen so many lone trees or dead trees among living ones that I wanted to photograph, but didn't know how they could be a great shot. Now with your help I know and am greatly inspired! I love how well you describe your thought process so simply and how personable you are. I look forward to watching more of your videos. Well done and keep being you!

This is one of the things that stands you apart from the rest Mads, that is your ability to see a composition and come away with beautiful images and you have demonstrated there are images to be had regardless of the surroundings. My personal favourite was the the one of at 6:54 with the old tree standing in front of the younger, greener trees behind, both offset with a beautifully coloured foreground. So much beauty and balance to it

This is exactly what I was looking for. I was recently on a work trip where we had to drive through areas of vast farm lands to get to our destination and I wanted to stop the car every 5 minutes because of either the lighting or the subjects I spotted out the window. So much potential out there if you just hop in the car and drive through the rural back roads. Your images and content are always inspiring. Cheers!

Whilst your landscape is very similar to mine, here in the flat fens of eastern England, I am jealous of your clear horizons. The slight rise on the fields enables you to isolate these subjects on the brow which is great. We don't even have the luxury of a 'slight rise' or brow on a hill! We also have many more power lines and poles to deal with. Having said that, inspiring stuff Mads as always and very enjoyable

Thanks for this Mads. I love in the middle of the largest farmland area in the world and hear insulting things about the landscape here all the time. Anyone who says it is boring and nothing to see have not really looked and I think are short sighted. Not every scene needs to be "epic" or grand. Most folks flock to the mountains, but for some odd reason, I end up being attracted more to the high plains and prairies. Mads, I think the lines, shapes and three-dimensionality of the wind turbines are more interesting when shot from the back rather than the front. So your impulse to go against your normal practice worked out for the better, in my opinion. I too recently ventured out in my car and made my way south of Sudbury (northern Ontario, Canada) to an area where I anticipated there would be fields of rapeseed, or as we call it, Canola. I came up with several terrific compositions in conditions ranging from partially cloudy blue skies in mid-afternoon light, through golden hour to sunset. I rarely, if ever, shoot iconic locations, and when I do, they tend to be local, within a couple hours drive. By the way, what's your attitude towards people sharing their own landscape photos on your KZitem channel? Skål!

And good that it were wheat fields, and not weed fields :) Also interesting to see that you managed to get nicely focused shots despite the 28 mm focal length and hand held shots.
